Experience:
- After qualifying at the University of Manchester in 2001, Amit trained as a junior maxillo-facial surgeon at Blackburn Royal Infirmary. He gained promotion to senior grade surgeon level having responsibility for training and supervising junior surgeons and being 2nd on call.
- Extensive experience of surgical implant placements on compromised cases which required advanced surgical procedures such as sinus lifts and bone grafts.
- Surgical grafting of bone and soft tissue, severely compromised full arch cases including 'All-on-Four' cases.
- He is currently at an advanced level of zygomatic implant training and has been placing zy-gomatic implants in severely compromised cases.
- Amit is a lead clinician on post-graduate implant courses for both year 1 and year 2. He lec-tures and provides hands on training and guidance to the year1 delegates so they can master the basics of dental implantology. With the year 2 delegates, he teaches advanced surgical and prosthetic techniques which include sinus lifting, block grafting and full arch restoration cases.
Additional Training:
- Amit has undergone extensive post-graduate training in the field of dental implantology.
- Awarded his Royal College of Surgeons Membership in 2003 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
- Further enhanced his surgical training at Blackburn Royal Infirmary, which is renowned for the quality of it academic and teaching staff in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.
Outside of work:
Amit enjoys spending time with his family and going to the gym.
Amit offers a complete range of implant dentistry from single tooth implant replacement to more advanced replacement of all teeth. He can also provide surgical only placements, so that the referring dentist can restore the implants themselves or alternatively complete the case from the start so the patient will leave with their new implant retained teeth.
Amit also provides surgical procedures to assist in the placing of implants such as sinus lifts and bone grafts. Sedation can be provided to make the surgical stages of the treatment more comfortable.
