Are you one of the many dental patients who isn’t entirely happy with their smile? Chipped, worn, and irregularly shaped teeth can make you feel self-conscious and less confident. However, modern dentistry has multiple tools to help you obtain the smile of your dreams.
At Liverpool Smile Studio we recommend porcelain veneers for a beautiful and confident smile. Veneers are custom-made thin porcelain cases bonded to your teeth. Our experienced dentists can determine whether they are the right option for you.
Regular check-ups with our dentists and good oral hygiene care can make your Liverpool veneers last more than ten years. Here’s what to expect with dental veneers in Liverpool.
The treatment
Having your dental veneers fitted requires approximately two visits. At the first visit, we will remove a small amount of enamel (about one-half millimetre) from the surface coating of your teeth to make space for the veneer. This is for the tooth to look natural when the veneer is fixed. After clipping down the enamel, our dentist will take an impression of your teeth in order to be sent to the dental lab where the veneers are custom-made.
At the second appointment, we will attach the veneers to your teeth with the aid of a special bonding agent. Porcelain veneers are made of high-quality materials to resemble your natural teeth and are usually applied to the part of the tooth that is noticeable when talking or smiling.
Why choose dental veneers
Porcelain veneers blend with your natural teeth and can conceal a variety of dental issues such as discoloured, misaligned, crooked, gapped and chipped teeth. Dental veneers can give you the smile you always wanted without the need for complex and expensive treatments.
Am I eligible?
Although most adults can enjoy the benefits of dental veneers, they might not be appropriate for all dental conditions. During your initial consultation with our dentists at Liverpool Smile Studio, we will be able to determine whether you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers in Liverpool. If your teeth have been damaged by decay, cracks or large fillings, dental veneers may not be a good idea. You may be advised to consider crowns or dental implants instead.
